Day 1 of 20

Refuge

Psalm 139:8-10

8If I ascend to heaven, You are there;

If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

9If I take the wings of the dawn,

If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,

10Even there Your hand will lead me,

And Your right hand will lay hold of me.

EXCERPT CHAPTER 1: "Amidst random gunfire, I was approaching Debbie with the good news that we had found a place to leave the vehicles. I was looking straight at her, as she stood in the open door of our van with her back to me. It was a beautiful, sunny and cool day in March; a day that did not match the disruption of life everyone was experiencing. She was repacking a few things to hand-carry into the dock area of the port for our anticipated departure. We were told by radio that we could only take what we could carry, and be prepared to drop that and run if necessary during an evacuation. “Oh, my God.” Debbie suddenly moaned, as she collapsed backwards to the ground, unprotected in her fall."
